The important bit

Terms & conditions

These terms govern your account, use of Fry Comps and entry into every competition. Competition-specific details shown on a prize page form part of these terms.

Last updated: 30 October 2026
18+ only. If you are under 18, you must not create an account or enter. An under-18 entrant is not eligible to receive a prize, cash alternative, account credit or any other payout.

1. About these terms

FryComps is a trading name of Fry Competitions Limited (“FryComps”, “we”, “us”), the promoter of the prize draws offered on frycomps.com (the “Site”). Fry Competitions Limited is registered in England and Wales under company number 17518539. Its registered office is 61 Bridge Street, Kington, HR5 3DJ, United Kingdom.

By creating an account, using the Site or entering a competition, you agree to these terms and the details displayed on the relevant competition page. FryComps is currently in pre-launch and paid entry is disabled. The correspondence and Free PO Box Entry address is FRY COMPETITIONS LIMITED, Unit 175276, PO Box 7169, Poole, BH15 9EL. Do not send postal entries to the registered office. These terms should be reviewed by a qualified UK solicitor before launch.

2. Who can enter

  • You must be at least 18 years old at the time of account creation and every entry.
  • You must be legally resident in Great Britain and physically located in Great Britain when entering, unless a competition page expressly states otherwise.
  • You must enter only for yourself, using accurate details that match your identification.
  • Fry Comps employees, contractors directly involved in a draw, and members of their immediate households may not enter that draw.

We may refuse, suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe information is false, the account is being shared, these terms have been breached, or entry would be unlawful.

3. Accounts and age confirmation

You must provide your real name, date of birth, email address and a secure password. You must keep your details current and protect access to your account. At sign-up you must actively confirm that you are 18 or over and accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. You must repeat the 18-or-over confirmation immediately before completing each checkout.

Your confirmations are not final proof of age. We may perform age and identity checks at any stage, and we will require satisfactory verification before releasing a prize.

4. How competitions work

Each competition page will state the prize, entry price, maximum entries, the real number of allocated tickets, any per-person limit, opening and closing dates, draw date, and any material restrictions. Paid and valid free entries for the same draw will be included on equal terms. A random process will select the winning entry from all valid entries unless the competition page clearly describes a different lawful mechanism.

A question may be used to administer entry or discourage automated abuse. Fry Comps does not rely on a simple multiple-choice question alone to make a chance-based draw lawful; chance-based draws will include a compliant free entry route.

5. Paid entry

An entry is accepted only when payment has cleared, the entry is recorded against your account and a ticket number is issued. Entries are personal and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged. Entry limits apply across all accounts controlled by the same person. We may void duplicate, automated, fraudulent or chargeback-linked entries.

Fry Comps accepts debit cards only and does not accept credit cards for any competition. Live checkout will remain unavailable until our payment controls can identify card type and reject credit cards. You can set a personal monthly paid-entry limit in your account.

Except where required by law, completed entries are not refundable merely because you change your mind. If we cancel a competition without completing a valid draw, we will provide the remedy stated on the competition page and any remedy required by consumer law.

6. Free postal entry

Every chance-based draw with paid entry will provide a free postal route. Send entries to FRY COMPETITIONS LIMITED, Unit 175276, PO Box 7169, Poole, BH15 9EL. Check the competition page for its opening date and closing deadline; the registered office and courier address are not the postal-entry address. Unless that page says otherwise, send one unenclosed postcard per entry by ordinary first- or second-class post. Include your full name, date of birth, postal address, mobile number, account email, competition title and any required answer.

The details must be complete, legible and match a verified, active Fry Comps account. No special-delivery service is required. Valid postal entries received by the stated deadline will be entered into the same competition draw and treated in the same way as paid entries. For instant-win competitions, accepted postal entries participate in the published instant-win allocation and any main draw on equivalent terms; those competitions will not open until that process is operational. Each accepted postal entry also receives one free entry into the current Fry Jackpot cycle. Postal cost is limited to the normal cost of communication and is not paid to Fry Comps.

7. Closing dates, draws and fairness

Every paid competition will show a closing time and scheduled draw time before paid entry opens. The scheduled draw will be after closing and no more than seven days later. We will not change a closing or draw date unless unavoidable circumstances beyond our reasonable control make a change necessary and entrants are not disadvantaged. If a competition does not sell out, it will still be drawn unless its page clearly stated a lawful minimum-entry condition before entry.

Draws will use the process described on our How Our Draws Work page and will be recorded or independently auditable. The public draw history will show the winning ticket, draw timestamp and recording when published. Our records of valid entries and the draw result are final except in the case of manifest error, fraud or a successful complaint review.

8. Winner contact and claiming a prize

We will contact the provisional winner using the details on their account. The winner must respond within 14 days unless a different reasonable claim period is stated on the competition page. If they do not respond, cannot be verified or are ineligible, the prize may be forfeited and the draw run again from the remaining valid entries.

Identity and age checks

Before any prize, cash alternative, Fry credit or payout is released, the provisional winner must provide valid government-issued photo identification (such as a passport or driving licence) and proof of address. We may request a live likeness check or further documents where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud or comply with law.

No under-18 payouts. If identification shows that the entrant was under 18 when the account was created or when an entry was made, the entry is void and they will not receive the prize, cash alternative, credit or any payout. A prize cannot be transferred to a parent, guardian or another adult to avoid this rule.

9. Prizes and guaranteed rewards

The competition prize is as described on the competition page. Unless stated otherwise, prizes are non-transferable. A cash alternative is available only where expressly offered or where we reasonably substitute it because the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control. Any substitute will be of equal or greater value. Prize pages identify whether a major prize is owned, reserved or supported by ring-fenced funding and may link to supporting evidence. Gift cards and vouchers will be issued with at least 12 months remaining before expiry.

Where an entry includes a guaranteed item or Fry Credit, it is described as a “reward” or “entry benefit”, not as proof that the entrant won a prize. Before live entries open, the page will disclose the complete reward pool, quantities and the chance of receiving each outcome. A separate draw prize, if any, is clearly distinguished from guaranteed rewards.

The winner is responsible for costs not expressly included, such as insurance, tax, registration, travel or ongoing ownership costs. Vehicle winners must be legally able to own and insure the vehicle. Supplier terms may also apply.

9A. Fry Credit and Fry Jackpot

Fry Credit is a promotional account balance that may be used only for eligible entries on the Site. It cannot be bought, transferred, exchanged for cash or withdrawn. Credit may expire only where an expiry date was clearly stated when it was awarded.

While the Fry Jackpot is enabled, each completed eligible paid card order adds the contribution shown on the Site for every complete £1 of its final order value after entry-price discounts and before any Fry Credit is applied. It also receives one entry into the current Jackpot pool. Each accepted free postal entry also receives one entry into that same pool but does not add money to the pot. Every entry has the same treatment and chance in the winner-selection process, whether obtained through a paid order or the free postal route. Spending more in one order increases only the pot contribution and does not create extra Jackpot entries or improve that entry's chance of selection. Test orders, cancelled orders and orders paid entirely with Fry Credit are excluded.

The current contribution rate is 5p for every complete £1: for example, a £1.99 eligible order adds 5p and a £2.00 eligible order adds 10p. The contribution is funded by Fry Comps and is not added to the customer's checkout total. Each new eligible paid or free entry initiates a 1-in-100 draw-trigger check using a cryptographically secure random value. When a check triggers a draw and the pot has a positive balance, one entry is selected uniformly at random from every entry in the current pool. Entries remain in the pool until that Jackpot is won. The winner receives the displayed pot as Fry Credit; the pool then closes and a new cycle begins. The trigger value, pool size, winning position and result are retained in an audit record, and a privacy-reduced result is published on the Winners page.

Postal entries participate once received, validated and recorded, not from the date they are posted. Send postal entries in enough time to arrive before the current Jackpot is won; entries received after a win participate in the new cycle. Any material change to the contribution rate, trigger odds, entry rules or selection process will be displayed before it applies. If a technical fault affects equal treatment or reliable selection, we may pause the Jackpot while preserving valid entries and the pot until a fair draw can be completed.

10. Publicity and winner information

We may publish the winner’s surname, county and winning ticket information where required for transparency. We will consider a reasonable request to reduce publication where there is a genuine safety or privacy concern. Photos, videos or interviews for marketing require a separate agreement and are not a condition of receiving a prize unless the law permits and the competition page clearly said so before entry.

11. Responsible participation

Only spend what you can comfortably afford. Do not chase losses or treat entry as a way to make money. We may apply entry or spending limits, offer account breaks, or restrict an account where activity indicates potential harm. See our Responsible Play page.

12. Site rules and unacceptable conduct

You must not attack, scrape, reverse engineer or disrupt the Site; use bots or scripts to enter; exploit an error; create multiple accounts to evade limits; manipulate a draw; or use payment details without authority. We may investigate, withhold a prize while checks are completed, void affected entries and report suspected crime or fraud.

13. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer and data-protection rights. Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, business losses, or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

If a technical error affects a competition, we will take reasonable steps to restore a fair position. Nothing in these terms guarantees uninterrupted access to the Site.

14. Privacy

We use personal information to operate accounts and draws, prevent fraud, communicate with entrants, verify winners and meet legal obligations. Identity documents are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Support, notifications and complaints

Use our support page or email recieve@frycomps.com with your account email, the competition name where relevant and a clear description of the issue. We aim to reply within 3 to 5 working days, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. Complex cases may take longer. We aim to acknowledge formal complaints within five working days and provide a final complaint response within eight weeks.

We send essential service emails confirming completed purchases and ticket numbers, competition closing reminders and draw results. These transactional messages are part of administering an entry and are separate from optional marketing. If an expected message does not appear, check your spam or junk folder.

We may offer an appropriate independent dispute-resolution route where a complaint cannot be resolved directly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts that apply where you live in Great Britain.

16. Changes

We may update these terms for legal, security or operational reasons. Material changes will apply prospectively and will be brought to account holders’ attention. The terms in force when you enter normally govern that entry, except where a change is required by law or benefits entrants without disadvantaging them.

17. Apple platform notice

Fry Comps is the promoter and sponsor of every competition offered through the Fry Comps iOS app. Apple Inc. is not a sponsor of, responsible for, or involved with any Fry Comps competition, prize draw or promotion in any manner.
